FODS Reshapes Infrastructure Entrances At Inaugural Geo-Structural Aspects of Pavements, Railways, & Airfields Conference, GAP 2019 Booth #23 & 24, Nov. 4-7, Colorado Springs, CO

The inaugural Geo-Structural Aspects of Pavements, Railways, and Airfields Conference (GAP 2019) will be held November 4 – 7 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This event was developed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) to further advancement and information about the geostructural aspects of pavements.

FODS offers geotechnical engineers, pavement engineers, construction engineers, and specification writers with an easy and rapid installation, multiple configuration reusable rockless entrance for roadway, rail bed, and airfield construction sites. During the duration of a project, FODS entrances are easy to install, maintain, move, remove, relocate and reuse.

With enhanced trackout performance, durabily, and cost-effectiveness for multiple applications, FODS Trackout Control Device can be reused on many projects, in comparison to traditional stabilized infrastructure rock entrances that are easily compacted, become built up with mud, need continual refreshment and cannot be reused.

FODS Construction Entrances are durable, yet flexible mats, that contain rows of alternating pyramids. The pyramids are designed to separate the tire treads as heavy equipment pass over the pyramids. Mud gets deposited at the base of the mats before it can leave a site, preventing worksite fines and roadway hazards.

FODS Mats can withstand 1,000,000 passes, 250,000 lbs. per mat and outperform traditional stabilized entrances. Each pyramid has a crush rating of 20,000 lbs.

FODS were engineered to last ten years plus and FODS mats will not lose their effectiveness over time.
