Adam Popenhagen: Erosion & Sediment Control Specialist

Adam Popenhagen, CPESC, CPSWQ has been involved in erosion and sediment control for the past 20 years. Adam has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and an associate’s degree in Horticulture and Turfgrass Management. At FODS, Adam serves as the Regional Manager in the Upper Midwest in charge of working with DOTs, federal agencies, distribution, project engineers, and construction personnel on developing solutions to minimize tracking onto paved surfaces and ultimately meeting NPDES permit requirements.

He formerly served as the Stormwater Specialist for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. There he provided construction with technical support on water quality, erosion and sediment control, and other stormwater related issues. Adam was a large part of developing and implementing Minnesota DOT specifications for construction in the State.

Adam lives in New Richmond, WI with his girlfriend and 2 children (11, 15). In his free time Adam is an avid golfer and enjoys anything outdoors.
