Even though Tevan had fun splashing in the mud puddles, he learned how water and soil can cause huge problems for contractors and lead to hefty fines.
Tevan was eager to see the mats in action. He tested out all his trucks on the FODS mats multiple times. Tevan saw how the FODS pyramids on each of the mats worked to stretch the tires’ tread, loosen the mud, and caused it to fall into the base of the mats, making it more effective than traditional rock construction entrances.
To Tevan’s delight, the mats stopped the mud before it could be tracked out of his construction exit and enter nearby roadways. Truck tires ride over the tops of the pyramids, and the mud falls to the bottom of the pyramids where it will not stick to the tires of subsequent vehicles and get tracked out.
