FODS Mats Meet Minneapolis Mud on I-35

FODS Trackout Control Mats meet Minneapolis Mud on Interstate W-35@94 Downtown to Crosstown infrastructure project in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Thank you to Brent Alpert and Greg Halverson at the Brock White St. Paul location, for supplying FODS Trackout Control Mats to Ames Construction working in alliance with MnDOT. Brock White is one of our professional-grade building and construction materials distributor. Ames has been performing heavy civil highway construction work since the early 1970s and is a well-established and nationally recognized highway contractor.

MnDOT updates on the Downtown to Crosstown project include converting shoulder lanes to permanent commuter lands, constructing bus transit lanes, two new exit ramps, upgrading pedestrian curb ramps and sidewalk upgrades, and constructing and rehabilitating existing noise barriers throughout the project limits.

FODS Trackout Control Mats are used as a temporary stabilized construction entrance or construction exit, in place of rip-rap erosion control or wheel wash systems. FODS is made from a durable polymer that allow it to withstand weight in excess of 250,000 lbs., and is designed for years of use across multiple projects.

FODS Trackout Control System is an environmentally friendly, re-usable, recyclable, transportable and eliminates the need for wasteful use of rock and geo-fabric associated with typical stabilized construction entrances.
