2022 Quad Cities Stormwater Conference

With water scarcity becoming an issue on a national and global scale, water conservation and stormwater pollution prevention are at the forefront of governmental regulations.

FODS Reusable Construction Entrances is presenting our trackout control system at the annual 2022 Quad Cities Stormwater Conference. The conference is sponsored by Rock Island County Soil and Water Conservation District. The District is considered a local branch of government that addresses natural resource conservation. The Rock Island County Soil and Water Conservation District works on different programs with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Farm Service Agency (FSA) - subdivisions of the US Department of Agriculture, and with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) on construction site NPDES monitoring

FODS Reusable Construction Entrances prevent stormwater liabilities by minimizing construction sediment trackout - helping contractors stay NPDES compliant. FODS Systems can be installed in under 30 minutes and arranged in various configurations. For optimal performance mats can be installed in a layout that is 12’ across and 7’ in the direction of travel. Installing mats in a T-shape layout can also provide a wide turn radius to accommodate light to heavy duty vehicles.

Rows of pyramids effectively remove sediment from tire treads before it can exit a construction site and enter the stormwater system. Mats are easy to maintain. FODS Trackout Control Mats offer contractors with a stabilized construction entrance solution that can be reused on multiple projects.
